FIRE ENGINE FIGHTER This fabulous old clip shows young pilot Bob DeFord flying a friend's all-red P-40N back in the 1960s. The clip is a bit scratchy but this just adds to the appeal in my view. So cool to see an old fighter being celebrated at a time when most had been scrapped. This one now flies with the CAF in Texas. Bob DeFord went on to build one of the world's only really successful full scale replicas of the Supermarine Spitfire. Bob has been flying that magnificent aircraft for over 20
